But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here!
Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water.”
“Yes, come,” Jesus said. Matthew 14:27-29
Peter knew instinctively and know that it is impossible for men to walk across water.
He was a fisherman and he knew that only boats displaces water and float on top of it.
But he walked anyway, even thou he sink shortly, it was still a visible demonstration of faith, and his obedience.
Jesus did not call us to walk across water, literally, He just called us to come, to Him ,and to where He wanted us to be, on dry land.
May we have the faith , courage and audacity to follow Jesus!
