The gates of Cabal are being dismantled

A Psalm to encourage some of us.

I got this Psalm after a prayer meeting on Tuesday 5th July.

94 God of vengeance, Adonai!
God of vengeance, appear!
Assert yourself as judge of the earth!
Pay back the proud as they deserve!

How long are the wicked, Adonai,
how long are the wicked to triumph?
They pour out insolent words,
they go on bragging, all these evildoers.

They crush your people, Adonai,
they oppress your heritage.
They kill widows and strangers
and murder the fatherless.

They say, “Yah isn’t looking;
the God of Ya‘akov won’t notice.”
Take notice, yourselves, you boors among the people!
You fools, when will you understand?
Will the one who planted the ear not hear?
Will the one who formed the eye not see?
10 Will the one who disciplines nations not correct them?
Will the teacher of humanity not know?
11 Adonai understands that people’s thoughts
are merely a puff of wind.

12 How happy the man whom you correct, Yah,
whom you teach from your Torah,
13 giving him respite from days of trouble,
till a pit is dug for the wicked!
14 For Adonai will not desert his people,
he will not abandon his heritage.
15 Justice will once again become righteous,
and all the upright in heart will follow it.

16 Who will champion my cause against the wicked?
Who will stand up for me against evildoers?

17 If Adonai hadn’t helped me,
I would soon have dwelt in the land of silence.
18 When I said, “My foot is slipping!”
your grace, Adonai, supported me.
19 When my cares within me are many,
your comforts cheer me up.

20 Can unjust judges be allied with you,
those producing wrong in the name of law?
21 They band together against the righteous
and condemn the innocent to death.

22 But Adonai has become my stronghold,
my God is my rock of refuge.
23 But he repays them as their guilt deserves;
he will cut them off with their own evil;
Adonai our God will cut them off.

Psalm 94 CJB

I see a gate being dismantle,

First the left side, then the right, it would be unhinged.

Very soon, it would be taken out.

And replaced.

Your yard will be left undefended.

Your doors would not be able to hold.

You will be looted and ransacked and your house would not remain upright and intact.

Mimic

The devil may have learn to mimic God’s voice.

After all, he was in the presence of God

Read Job 1:7-8, Job 2:2-3

We would have to learn to discern between the still small voice of God, my sub conscious voice, or the devil’s voice.

The devil’s  voice properly stings and does not sit well in the spirit, because they sting.

Ephesians 6:16

Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one].

The devil is properly adept at quoting the Bible to throw us off course too.

He did that to Jesus too, in Matthew 4

For example, “you have failed again”

“if a man doesn’t rule his household well, how can he be entrusted?’

“Who do you think you are?”

“You are lousy”

It’s time to take up the shield of faith IMG_5221

I hope you are blessed.

FINISHER

Just a thought on the running scene here in Singapore and Malaysia, aplenty!

All of us will receive a Finisher tee.

The question is where? Heaven or Hell?

Shining with glory?

Or burning with shame and isolation?

That Finisher tee is our robe of righteousness

And the medal our crown(s)

We may not all started off well in life.

You may have fallen, you may had suffered injuries, ran over, pushed, plodded, ran the wrong course.

Finish well.

To the tune of well done, good and faithful servant.

Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

Hebrews 11:1 AMPC

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,
fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12:1-2 NIV

Vines

I am the true Vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that continues to bear fruit, He [repeatedly] prunes, so that it will bear more fruit [even richer and finer fruit]. You are already clean because of the word which I have given you [the teachings which I have discussed with you]. Remain in Me, and I [will remain] in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself without remaining in the vine, neither can you [bear fruit, producing evidence of your faith] unless you remain in Me. I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him bears much fruit, for [otherwise] apart from Me [that is, cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.

John 15:1-5

Usually , this Scriptures comes with pictures of grapes and vines,

We don,t have grapes in Singapore, so this is a visual aide to learning, sort of photo.

On 21st Wednesday , , September 2016 , a Teacher friend reminded me on a few things, which spoke right into my heart ;

“In the past, I had made my status , my god,

I had made money , my god,

in fact, for people from Special Forces, they had made themselves to be gods.

High , mighty and lofty , and in severe need of pruning for the soul, spirit , ego .

We are works in progress.

Our identity need to come from God.

I am a child of God.

Love by The Father.

My Source and my strength.

In whom I live and I breathe.

We go thru a process of pruning,

To get rid of things that holds us down.

To prune away things that we put our security in,

Because, only God, is the real security.

He is ever-present and our source of help.

You need to let go of what once hold you down, and lean on, trust in Jesus.

Only Jesus, and nothing else.

God knows His plans.

Some History lessons today, about the fall of Judah and Jeresulem…

King Nebuchadnezzar had besieged Jeresalem for 11 years! In fact, Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And he did evil in the sight of the Lord his God. Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against him, and bound him in bronze fetters to carry him off to Babylon.
(2 Chronicles 35:5 )

And after the siege, King Zedekiah eyes were blinded, his sons killed. (2 Samuel 24 & 25) Only the very poor, a small handful were left behind in Jerusalem, after the famine inducing siege that destroyed Jerusalem, the people were forced to walk, yes, forced-marched thousand of miles eastward to Babylon.

The people of Judah were faraway from home, forcible uprooted, without a Temple to worship in, all that they had known were destroyed, some of the gold, silver and bronze were also carted away from their Temple. (Ezra 1)

God allow the people of Judah to be in captivity for seventy years, in the bible, that is the amount of time for a generation. (Psalm 90:10)

It was an story of God’s redemption, cultural mandate(build houses, plant vineyards) and continual love in the midst of captivity and strangeness.

I was not very good in History, I hope I had not bored you with my summary!

How does it applies to us in modern day 2013A.D ?

Maybe we had been barren, we had a job we don’t like, we were in poverty, and it seems like years had gone by and no improvement had taken place.

God assures us once again in this verse, in the context of the captivity

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

I must have heard this 10 times since the begining of 2013, I am sure many readers have heard of this verse.

For me personally, it was an assurance of God’s love when you feel like circumstances are not going your way or plan,

You can trust that God will work out all things(the bad, the shocking, the unexpected, the undesirable) for good.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

We might even shake our angry fists at God and cried out , “what kind of plans are these?”

We need to put our hope in God alone, not in the circumstances, not in what we perceived. God promise to rebuilt the ruins and build up your life.

Instead of your shame you shall have double honor,
And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion.
Therefore in their land they shall possess double;
Everlasting joy shall be theirs. Isaiah 61:7

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

Put your hope in God.

Ephesians 3:20

God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us. The Message

Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]— Amplified

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. NKJV

God is more than able to exceedingly above all that we ask(in our praying, and professing), in our thinking(believing, visualising) !

To the years ahead!

Tan Kok Siang, 2013

Nothing shall separate us from the love of God.

Recently, I was very stress over my work, health( was sick for a week, kind of yearly “breakdown” in December) & over our yet to born, baby girl, any father-to-be would know what I mean, the mix of anxiety, stress & joy, all at the same time.

My faith was low, to say the least,

I turned to the Book of Romans for one of my daily readings,

And I read ,

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:

“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35-39 (you should read the whole chapter)

I counted seventeen different kind of diffculties,

Tribululations, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, sword, death, life, angels, principalities, powers, things present, things to come, height, depth, any other created thing.

Our issues in life can safely fall under one of the seventeen categories.

That is a tremendous assurance and comfort from the Scriptures for us.

I need to read, and read, and read some more, untill it moves from my head to my heart.

I hope you could find some assurance too,

Nothing, shall separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.

Faith to overcome

“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says(speak) to this mountain,(diffculties, natural obstacles, hidrance of sight to the promise land, exhausting climb) Be removed and be cast into the sea,’(dissolve with the sea, bit by bit, angels shovelling dirt into the sea for you) and does not doubt(believe only)in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. (Mark 11:23 NKJV-TKSV)

Recently , I was reading up on The New Testament,

It was an interesting word search on the lexicon.

Here is one,

Whoever says to this mountain(Lego)it means to say it out, to command, to call out boldly, to ordered!

but believes that those things that he says(Lego) will be done.

It means to utter out in speech.

What we say to ourselves is very important.

It determine and alter our destiny.

Let us speak more of faith, then of fear.

More of faith, than of doubt.

More of faith, than on the negative.

Say it out! confess good things into your life, by faith!

What have we got to lose?

Our fears are redeemed by Jesus.

Recently, I was shuffling between faith and fear,

I was two weeks in the dump because of an impending military court case & a health issue.

Then God reminded me of fear and courage, (21st August 2012).

As an believer, many times, we let fear, get to us,

That is because the Devil had succeeded, abeit temporary, in distracting us away from the word of God, His word and His promises.

We became narrow-minded, tunnel-visioned,  and focus on the circumstances, instead of Jesus, and what He had done on the cross.

Fear causes psychosomatic reactions.

As an Officer in the army, I have seen that fear paralyzes! Even on grown, muscular men!

They could cramped up, vomit, cramped up again, some of their faces turn pale, and eventually , many gave up before or during a tough exercise. Giving up almost certainly guarantee a long time of shame, guilt, and condemnation.

We need to soldier on, we need to walk on like a good soldier of Christ! We should not give up. (2 Timothy 2:3)

Conversely, hope fires up the brain and form new circuitry in the brain. (Dr Caroline Leaf)

Faith and hope are very powerful, unseen forces. (Hebrews 11:1)

It is our faith that will overcome the world, (1 John 5:4) and all the difficulties that we will face.

Isaiah 53: 4-5

Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.

That means;

# Pain is redeemed on the cross, amen

# Sadness is redeemed on the cross,

# Affliction is redeemed on the cross,

# Our sins, big and small, knowing or unknowing, were redeemed on the cross.

# Troubles and heaviness is redeemed on the cross,

# Diseases and sickness is redeemed on the cross.

Nothing is impossible when we put our trust in God.

The fears that we fear, fears God! (Kong Hee)

Be strong and of good courage! (Deuteronomy 31:6, Joshua 1:6)

What are the fears you are facing now?

Looking unto Jesus today.

looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2 NKJV

God delights in & hears our prayers.

Proverbs 15:8 NLT

The Lord detests the sacrifice of the wicked,
but he delights in the prayers of the upright.

& again in verse 29

The Lord is far from the wicked,
but he hears the prayers of the righteous.

We are made righteous by the finished work of Christ on the cross,

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21

But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, Titus 3:4-7

And by the atoning blood of Christ on the cross.

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. (Ephesians 2:13)

I can only say, there is only one way.

Another simple explanation for righteousness is right standing with God.

It is both a position and a daily preparation.

(For brevity, we only touch on positionally righteousness)

And when we slip up, which we do.

For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. 1 John 3:20-21

God is fully confident in the finished work of his Son, Jesus Christ on the cross.

And we can have full confidence in God.

I hope you are bless.
