Reviving America

On that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David (mobile, can be put up ) which has fallen down, and repair its damages ; I will raise up its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old; that they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the Gentiles who are called by My Name,” says the Lord who does this thing.

Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord,

“When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treaded of grapes 🍇 him who sows seed; the mountains shall drop with sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it. Amos 9:11-13

I know this Scriptures might be an end-time application for the nation of Israel to be restored, it also speaks of all the Gentiles who are called by My name .

USA 🇺🇸 is also a Gentile nation who is called by His name. So may good overcomes and evil be vanquished.

An Untold Story

Almost four decades ago, my mum went for an abortion and I did not get to have another younger siblings, forty years later, they cite reasons such as we were living on a tight budget and there are also fines imposed by the late Prime Minister “2 child population policy” to prevent an “population explosion”

Four decades later, me and my parents are still coming to grips with that decision, it had affected us , physically , mentally, emotional, spiritually.

Almost like a generation curse, I was also involved in another abortion, almost two decades ago.

I got involved in an affair and it ended with an unwanted pregnancy’s and as I listened to the details of the operation, I was completely taken aback and aghast that I have aided in the murder of an unborn child.

Almost two decades ago, I was in tears as I flew from Singapore to Los Angeles, shortly after than, I received Christ’s Salvation , that took place on a wooden cross, for me, at a little Church at Big Pine Key, Key West, Florida.

A child is the joint effort between a male and a female, for consenting married adults , it is a labor of love , for crime actions involving rapes , it may involved a child growing up without a father figure.

So, a child is an act of love or lust, depending on how the sexual intercourse took place.

And God had already set life to begin inside the womb.

The act of the abortion will take a toll on both men and women,

Abortion is not healthcare. It tears the baby out of the womb and the woman undergoes trauma.

Women are often physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually scarred because of the abortion,

My mental and emotional and spiritual wounds are healing and still being redeemed by the Lord.

And because He redeems our life, I am released of guilt, shame, condemnation, when we repent.

He made Christ who knew no sin to [judicially] be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God [that is, we would be made acceptable to Him and placed in a right relationship with Him by His gracious lovingkindness].

2 Corinthians 5:21 AMPC

A wise couple continually reminds me, parenting is not for the faint-hearted. I agree and it is so true for me today.

I hope you would choose life and not death.

The unborn have no voice, we are their voice and protectors.

A strange relationship

Genesis 38- Judah and Tamar

This British ship is calling on at Sembawang Wharves, it’s old port haunt in 1942.

Truth be spoken her weaponry doesn’t look impressive on the outside of the vessel.

And the name Tamar, speaks of a disguised daughter in law, similarly, the ship is disguised, Genesis 38:15-19

it is a strained relationship with Judah and her daughter in law, Tamar

Perhaps , an allusion to the strained and unusual relationship between Britain and Singapore.

However , there is a redeeming factor, in Matthew 1:3 , Judah begot Perez(breech barrier) and Zerah by Tamar(daughter in law ) , Matthew 1:3 , and down the lineage , King David himself.

The levir is, after all, only a surrogate for the dead husband, it is like a Middle Eastern surrogate family.

which the lineage trace down to King David himself, as symbolize by the lion too.

I am not exactly sure why this story props up in my head this morning,

Perhaps, God is speaking about unconventional methods and loyalty to family.

That God will use people with unusual determination and wit and defy conventional thinking to bring about an outcome that will determine the future of many many generations.

He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake. Psalm 23:3

2022/5782 Entering a new era.

Recently I had a series of unlinked dreams and flash visions, that doesn’t seem to make sense.

I had since make it a habit to place a notebook where I can scribble notes down after I wake up from the nightmare or dream.

On 14th December 2021, in a dreamy dream filled with sunlight and comraderies , I saw laughter and brotherly camaraderie in a room where they were comfortable, but in the dream, I was sad because of the farewell that is taking place.

I woke up about 06:18 am on 14 December 2021.

After praying in the morning for an interpretation of what this dream could means ,

I just felt like it is a starting over all again, where we would have to make our own bed, the brotherhood and camaraderie would be scattered and some would never meet again.

It was in the context of National Military Service where men need to do 2 years of their time together.

The sunset could mean His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:21-23)

This could means this generation would goes off and another generation would come and takes it place.

That a comfortable era of protection may be over soon, friends would be gone soon and we would need to pick ourselves up and start a new life.

Friends and brother who had been on your side for the past two years, you may never see them again as each of you embark on a different destinies.

Some would be reluctant to leave the familiar setting they had been used to for the last 20 years, but we are moving ahead into a new era.

What are your thoughts about entering a new era in the year 2022/5782 ?

All things work together for good(including COVID-19)

In the midst of this global pandemic

dt_200221_covid_19_coronavirus_800x450

We can have hope

In spite of panic buying, economic shortages, limited healthcare facilities, jobs disparity, income inequalities.

20200222-health-southkorea

Instead of spiralling into negativity, like what I did for the past 55 days and nights or so.

We can choose to have hope in God’s words.

We can choose to pray.

We can choose to worship.

Let faith arise, let fear dissipate.

God promised in The Scriptures,

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28

His love never fails. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? (Romans 8:35)

He had promise

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,  neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:37-39

Just to let you know, this is not the end of the world yet (Revelation 6)

This is not the chloros horse that is that is riding (Revelation 6:7-8)

This is just the beginning of sorrows ( Matthew 24:6-8)

We are not at the end yet, thou it seems near.

This is a time of shaking.

So that things which cannot be shaken may remain. (Haggai 2:6-9, Hebrews 12:27)

God is working many things out behind the scene, I believe this pandemic is surfacing many social problems and God is going to deliver justice.

So, let us have hope.

Stay safe and stay healthy.

We will emerge different in a post COVID-19 pandemic world.

These shall remains, faith, hope and love.

The blood forgives.

Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin.

[In fact] under the Law almost everything is purified by means of blood, and without the shedding of blood there is neither release from sin and its guilt nor the remission of the due and merited punishment for sins.

Hebrews 9:22 AMPC

There is Forgiveness from sin

There is Release from guilt

There is Absorption of punishment

Can a sacrifice of a chicken, forgive sin?

Can an explosive strap extremist, forgive sin?

Can the yearly ritual of goats and calf, forgive sin?

The answer is no,

Before the passover,

And he took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it. He gave it to them and said, “Each of you drink from it,

for this is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of many.

Mark my words—I will not drink wine again until the day I drink it new with you in my Father’s Kingdom.”

Matthew 26:27-29 NLT

His body was whipped on behalf of us for our healing

His blood that was shredded is a new covenant of love and forgiveness,

The once and final sacrifice that is the atonement for our sin.

the-passion-of-the-christ

He is the perfect sacrificial Lamb of god

He became our Passover.

He provides the way, the truth and the life.

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil,

where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

Hebrews 6:19

He is our hope!

Only by dying on the cross, can the Resurrection power of God can be manifested, and three days and three nights later, He rose again, so that all who believe in Him, may have eternal life.

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”

In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

Hebrews 8:10-13

The Bible says, I will be merciful and I will remember your lawless deeds no more!

There is forgiveness in the blood of Jesus and there is redemption!

Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation.

Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean,  sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh,

how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without  spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

Hebrews 9:11-15

It is a once and for all offering and sacrifice, it cleanse you and you enter into a new covenant with God.

It is the power of the indestructible life, found in the indestructible presence in the blood.

And you and I can be partakers in it, when we enter into a new covenant.

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;

they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Mark 16:15-18 NKJV

There is power in the blood of Jesus!

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”  Amen.

Matthew 28:19-20 NKJV

There is assurance in the blood of Jesus.

I hope you are blessed.

Wading Through Weeds

I was clearing some weeds this week,

Some is an understatement, they multiply at a rate of 17,200 a week.

IMG_6391

In an hour, I scooped 2 bags of it, that is, when i don’t talk and just concentrate on skimming over the pond surface and scooping it out, they are heavy when wet, and it was certainly a workout of lifting my arms.

I find a parallel in clearing the duck weeds.

e948a2aa-990f-42e3-8aab-db07185252c2.jpg

Those weeds crowded out the pond surface, they stick to the roots of trees and the undersides of plants, they compete for sunlight, water, air and nutrients.

Same it is with our lives, things, baggage’s, sin weighs us down, making the race hard and heavy.

Stunned our growth.

Only be removing the weeds can i get to see the beautiful flowers that greets me each morning.

There may never be 100% weedless, sinless life, but may we shine forth like we are supposed to.

Using the allegory of clearing weeds as taking out the unimportant things in our life, including the deceitfulness of riches and cares of this world.

He answered, He Who sows the good seed is the Son of Man.

38 The field is the world, and the good seed means the children of the kingdom; the darnel is the children of the evil one,

39 And the enemy who sowed it is the devil. The harvest is the close andconsummation of the age, and the reapers are angels.

40 Just as the darnel (weeds resembling wheat) is gathered and burned with fire, so it will be at the close of the age.

41 The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all causes of offense persons by whom others are drawn into error or sin] and all who do iniquity and act wickedly,

42 And will cast them into the furnace of fire; there will be weeping and wailing and grinding of teeth.

43 Then will the righteous (those who are upright and in right standing with God) shine forth like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Let him who has ears [to hear] be listening, and let him consider and perceive and understand by hearing.

Matthew 13:38-43

and earlier in the passage,

Another parable He set forth before them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.

25 But while he was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed also darnel (weeds resembling wheat) among the wheat, and went on his way.

26 So when the plants sprouted and formed grain, the darnel (weeds) appeared also.

27 And the servants of the owner came to him and said, Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? Then how does it have darnel shoots in it?

28 He replied to them, An enemy has done this. The servants said to him, Then do you want us to go and weed them out?

29 But he said, No, lest in gathering the wild wheat (weeds resembling wheat), you root up the [true] wheat along with it.

Matthew 13:24-29 AMPC

I hope you are blessed.

Manger

And she gave birth to her Son, her Firstborn; and she wrapped Him in swaddling clothes and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room or place for them in the inn.

Luke 2:7 AMPC

A manger was a feeding trough for the sheep, the cows. Maybe for the chickens too

There was no other inn around.

His fate was already cast in stone

Just as it was used for feeding the common domesticated animals

His life was to be His living bread for us all.

To feed us all.

I [Myself] am this Living Bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this Bread, he will live forever; and also the Bread that I shall give for the life of the world is My flesh (body).

Mimic

The devil may have learn to mimic God’s voice.

After all, he was in the presence of God

Read Job 1:7-8, Job 2:2-3

We would have to learn to discern between the still small voice of God, my sub conscious voice, or the devil’s voice.

The devil’s  voice properly stings and does not sit well in the spirit, because they sting.

Ephesians 6:16

Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one].

The devil is properly adept at quoting the Bible to throw us off course too.

He did that to Jesus too, in Matthew 4

For example, “you have failed again”

“if a man doesn’t rule his household well, how can he be entrusted?’

“Who do you think you are?”

“You are lousy”

It’s time to take up the shield of faith IMG_5221

I hope you are blessed.

FINISHER

Just a thought on the running scene here in Singapore and Malaysia, aplenty!

All of us will receive a Finisher tee.

The question is where? Heaven or Hell?

Shining with glory?

Or burning with shame and isolation?

That Finisher tee is our robe of righteousness

And the medal our crown(s)

We may not all started off well in life.

You may have fallen, you may had suffered injuries, ran over, pushed, plodded, ran the wrong course.

Finish well.

IMG_FIN

To the tune of well done, good and faithful servant.

Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

Hebrews 11:1 AMPC

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,
fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12:1-2 NIV
